Home At Last

Hey there!  Praxton and Julia here.  It's been 2 weeks and 5 days since Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John arrived.  Since then, we have been blessed so much by cards, gifts, prayers, and family.  Thank you so much for your kindness!!!  We are home at last and are enjoying quiet time at home!  The quads are doing great, though we still need to work on sleeping habits a bit.  Julia is doing a marvelous job being Momma, and Praxton is still trying to believe that they weren't girls. :-)
Having family close is a huge blessing.  Papa, Grama, Aunt Katie, Uncle Ben, and Uncle Jared are doing a great job caring for all of our needs!  Grandma, Aunt Prue, and Aunt Purity are going to stay with us a while too, helping and serving.
At first when they came, we were in shock.  Quadruplets??!  Boys?!?!  Wow!!!!  It was a lot to take in.  About 2 hours later with both of our arms full of our new bundles of joy, Julia looked at me and said, "Have you thought about any names?"  No, I hadn't.  I thought it was going to be a girl, not four boys.  My mind started searching frantically for good boy names that weren't P's.
I, Julia, have always thought that if you had twelve sons, you could name them after Jacobs twelve sons.   I threw that idea out, and then we started thinking about what were there four of in the Bible?  Four.........what?  We thought.  And thought.  And thought.
I'm going through the books of the Bible searching for four of anything.  "Nahum, Habakuk, Zepheniah, Haggai, Zachariah, Malachi.  Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, Acts and the letters to the Ro......"
"Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John!!!!" I shouted.  Julia looked at me like I had just lifted the hospital of the ground.
"You're right!" she said nodding and smiling.  "Those are our names!"
We still wanted to use Jacob's sons names so we decided to just go in order.  We switched them around according to how they sounded or to our liking. :-)
Matthew means 'Gift of God' and Reuben means 'Behold, a son'.  So his name means, Behold, a son, our gift from God.
Mark means 'Servant of God' and Simeon means 'God heard'.  So his name means, God heard His Servant.
Luke means 'Talented' and Issachar means 'Reward' so his name means Talented and Rewarded.
John means 'God is Gracious' and Levi means 'Harmonious'.  God was gracious in giving us John and we think He gave John a quiet spirit.
Thank you again so much for your prayers and please continue praying!  They will always be appreciated!!
Blessings,
Praxton, Julia, Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John Wilder
